Summery mixtape

This is my favorite playlist for the upcoming summer. You don't have to play it in a specific order, my iTunes always plays it randomly. Though I advise you to begin with "Ode to a Nightingale": listening to Ben Wishaws reciting John Keats' poem with cello, voices and birds songs is the best way to wake up (I mean, come on! Keats man !). I would advise to finish with "Reach for the Sun", because it just makes you be in the best mood ever.
I know most of these tracks don't have anything to do with summer, but that's what I love to listen to when I'm really lazy and stay in bed, writing.

1.Ode to a Nightinagle - Mark Bradshaw
2.Suite Nr.1 BWV 1007 G-dur - I. Prelude - Johann Sebastian Bach
3.Le Vent, Le Cri - Ennio Morricone
4.No more illores mas - Youn Sun Nah
5.Twin Peaks Theme - Angelo Badalamenti
6.Sleep - Imogen Heap
7.Hoppipolla - Sigur Rós
8.Dreaming Little Boat - Yuhki Kuramoto
9.The Sheltering Sky - Ryuichi Sakamoto
10.La Femme Adultère - Yannick Jamin (text: Federico Garcia Lorca)
11.Sight - Lily Chouchou
12.Opus 34 - Dustin O'Halloran
13.Second Romance - Yuhki Kuramoto
14.BWV 81 - Menuet II (Trio) - Menuet I Da Capo - Johann Sebastian Bach
15.La Belle Dame Sans Merci - Ben Whishaw
16.Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence Theme - Ryuichi Sakamoto
17.Epilogue - Lee Buyng Woo
18.Weather Systems - Andrew Bird
19.Valon - 1 - Salyu
20.Reach For The Sun - The Polyphonic Spree

Enjoy ♥ ♥ ♥

Thank you!!! :D I'm so loking forward to this mix, you have no idea.

(And that icon is pure awesome, just saying.)

You're welcome :) Let me know what you think of it :) If you need one of the albums the tracks are from, you can request them too if you want :)

I really felt as dumb as Kronk when I read your answer, so I guess that it was appropriate hehe.
Isora_Kazul9isora_kazul9 on May 8th, 2010 05:32 am (UTC)
The whole thing is just...Wow. I'm not sure if there's an individual artist I want more of right now, I honestly just love all of the tracks. And that never happens. XD Thank you so much though! One of the tracks, "19.Valon - 1 - Salyu" won't come out of the .zip, though maybe it's just my computer. :)
I enjoyed the Bright Star tracks a lot more than I thought I would. I need to see the movie now, I think. And I always forget how wonderful Hoppipolla is each time I hear it. Or just Sigur Ros, for that matter.
And because I forgot to ask before: Are some of the artists on here Korean? I'm kinda a big manhwa fan so I'm getting to recognize the different..structure(?) of the names, though I'm off a lot.

It wasn't that bad, I've done far worse sometimes. I'm a bit of a ditz. XP
• Lili •: audrey kawasaki - mizuamepuccalove_70 on May 8th, 2010 01:36 pm (UTC)
I'm glad you liked it =)

Some artists are korean indeed. Youn Sun Nah is a korean jazz artist, who made her debut in Paris, and Lee Byung Woo is a famous composer. The song I put is from the soundtrack of the movie "A Tale Of Two Sisters". I'm a manwha fan too :p
I really really recommend you "Bright Star". I wasn't a Jane Campion's fan at all, and it's one of my favorite movies ever. I don't know if you like John Keats' poetry (he is my favorite British romantic poet) or his love story with Fanny Brawne, but this is really a perfect movie. If you can't find it, I can upload it for you :)

Here is Salyu's Valon-1 : http://www.mediafire.com/?znjknxymzzd

And by the way, I've just realized what your icons says, and I'm in love with it now :p
Isora_Kazul9isora_kazul9 on May 10th, 2010 01:21 am (UTC)
Ah, that explains the Parisian flair. :D
I've gotta say, I think I'm a fan of Lee Byung Woo. (After having this playlist on repeat for days, I'm starting to develop favorites. XP) Which manhwas are you into, if you don't mind me asking? Though I love it, I haven't read anything compare to my manga collection.
I'm pretty sure I can get it from Netflix, but because I really want to see it, you'll be hearing from me if I can't find it! XP I'm not much of a poetry person; not because I don't like it, just because it's never really been a part of what I read. I'm always up for new things, though.

Haha, thanks! A person I'm collabing on a project with (and she helps edit my story) started this little icon "revolution". She pretty much just asked what color eyes I wanted and made me one. I took the red, of course. If you want, just give me a color and she'd be happy to make you one. :)

Alright, so I've been addicted to this playlist for months, and since you offered, I have to ask if you have any more from a few artists. If it's too much of a pain to upload, or you don't have them, that's completely fine, I just have to ask! The single songs are so addicting. :)
Anyways, the tracks I'm helplessly addicted to:
Dreaming Little Boat - Yuhki Kuramoto
The Sheltering Sky - Ryuichi Sakamoto
Sight - Lily Chouchou
Opus 34 - Dustin O'Halloran
Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence Theme - Ryuichi Sakamoto
Epilogue - Lee Buyng Woo
Weather Systems - Andrew Bird
I know it's a lot, I'm sorry! ^^; But thank you for introducing me to them!!!

It's no problem, I completely understand!!! the interwebz and I have a testy relationship. XD
If it's not too much of a problem, I am still in need of everything save for Dustin O'Halloran. But I totally get if uploading'll take too long/too much of a pain. :)
And it's fine!!! :D
